Delightful puff pastry bunnies filled with creamy Havarti and sweet preserves, perfect for a fun spring or Easter treat!
Ingredients
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 6 large cubes Creamy Havarti cheese
- Preserve of choice (e.g., strawberry balsamic compote)
- Fruit (optional, e.g., slices of strawberry)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unfold the puff pastry sheets and use a cookie cutter to cut out 12 bunny shapes.
- Place one bunny cutout on a parchment-covered baking sheet. Dollop a small amount of your chosen preserve or compote in the center. If using, add a few slices of fruit on top of the preserves. Place a cube of Creamy Havarti cheese on top of the fruit. Cover with another bunny cutout and gently press the edges to seal. Repeat until all bunnies are assembled.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each bunny for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bunnies are golden brown and puffed up.
