Delightful puff pastry bunnies filled with creamy Havarti and sweet preserves, perfect for a fun spring or Easter treat!

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 large cubes Creamy Havarti cheese
  • Preserve of choice (e.g., strawberry balsamic compote)
  • Fruit (optional, e.g., slices of strawberry)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheets and use a cookie cutter to cut out 12 bunny shapes.
  3. Place one bunny cutout on a parchment-covered baking sheet. Dollop a small amount of your chosen preserve or compote in the center. If using, add a few slices of fruit on top of the preserves. Place a cube of Creamy Havarti cheese on top of the fruit. Cover with another bunny cutout and gently press the edges to seal. Repeat until all bunnies are assembled.
  4. Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each bunny for a golden finish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bunnies are golden brown and puffed up.
