A refreshing wedge salad featuring crisp iceberg lettuce, crispy bacon, juicy tomatoes, and chives, all drizzled with a creamy Buttermilk Blue Dressing. This classic salad is perfect as a side dish or a light meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, cut into quarters
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 tablespoons chives, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk or milk
  • 4 ounces Buttermilk Blue Crumbles
  • 1 tablespoon chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • Pinch of salt & fresh ground pepper

Method

  1. Prepare the Dressing: In a small bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk, Buttermilk Blue Crumbles, chives, lemon juice (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended and creamy. Use the back of a spoon to press some of the blue cheese crumbles into the dressing for added flavor.
  2. Assemble the Salad: Place each wedge of iceberg lettuce on a plate. Top with crumbled bacon, cherry tomatoes, and chopped chives.
  3. Serve: Drizzle the Buttermilk Blue Dressing over the wedge salad.
