Ingredients
- 4 burger buns
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup Buttermilk Blue Crumbles
- 1 cup arugula
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garlic Aioli
Method
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10-15 minutes until they are golden brown and caramelized. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into 4 equal patties. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle Buttermilk Blue Crumbles on top of each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.
- Toast the burger buns if desired. Spread garlic aioli on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a beef patty with melted Buttermilk Blue, a handful of arugula, and a generous portion of caramelized onions. Place the top half of the bun on top.
- Serve the burgers hot with your favorite sides.
