Flaky puff pastry filled with rich, melted Grand Cru cheese and sweet fig jam, perfect for a holiday appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 oz Roth Grand Cru, cubed
  • 3 tbsp fig jam
  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp water, whisked (for egg wash)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheet and spread the fig jam in a circle in the center.
  3. Place the cubed Grand Cru cheese on top of the fig jam.
  4. Fold the puff pastry over the cheese to fully enclose it. Pinch the edges to seal.
  5. Brush the entire puff pastry with the egg wash.
  6. Place the wrapped pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes or until the pastry is deep golden brown.
  7. Serve warm.
