Flaky puff pastry filled with rich, melted Grand Cru cheese and sweet fig jam, perfect for a holiday appetizer or party snack.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 6 oz Roth Grand Cru, cubed
- 3 tbsp fig jam
- 1 egg + 1 tbsp water, whisked (for egg wash)
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Unfold the puff pastry sheet and spread the fig jam in a circle in the center.
- Place the cubed Grand Cru cheese on top of the fig jam.
- Fold the puff pastry over the cheese to fully enclose it. Pinch the edges to seal.
- Brush the entire puff pastry with the egg wash.
- Place the wrapped pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes or until the pastry is deep golden brown.
- Serve warm.
