A fun, easy, and creative way to enjoy a meal combining two things we love: grilled cheese and doughnuts!

Ingredients

  • 2 8-ounce canisters refrigerated crescent roll sheets
  • 1 6oz Roth Gouda Cheese, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chives, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon flaked salt

Method

  1. Working on a lightly floured work surface, roll out one tube of dough to a 12×16-inch rectangle.
  2. Place sliced gouda on top to fully cover the sheet. Top with the 2nd sheet.
  3. Press them together and roll out, fold them widthwise, and press down. Fold one more time, and then gently roll out into a square.
  4. Use a 3-inch-round biscuit cutter to cut a round from each rectangle stack, and then use a 1-inch-round biscuit cutter to cut the hole in the center. Repeat for remaining dough.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 350°F. Lightly spray with oil.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter and garlic. Brush over cronuts.
  7. Bake for 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from air fryer, brush with more garlic butter, and top with chives and flaked salt.*can be fried traditionally as well*
