A fun and savory twist on the classic pigs in a blanket, these bites feature smoky Lil Smokies sausages wrapped in buttery crescent dough, paired with sharp Grand Cru cheese and sweet apple slices. Perfect for game day or a party appetizer!
Ingredients
- 1 package Lil Smokies sausages
- 1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 oz Grand Cru Cheese, sliced
- 1 apple, sliced
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp poppy seeds
Method
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough and use a pizza cutter or knife to cut along the perforated lines. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles.
- On the longer edge of each triangle, place a slice of apple, a slice of Grand Cru cheese, and a sausage. Roll the dough up around the ingredients and place on the baking sheet, seam side down.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
- Bake for 10 to 14 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with honey mustard for dipping.
