These beef crostinis are the perfect bite-sized appetizer, combining tender slices of beef with the bold and tangy flavor of Roth Horseradish Havarti Cheese. The crispy baguette slices provide a satisfying crunch, making this an ideal starter for any dinner party or casual gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 French baguette, sliced into 24 thin rounds
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 12 oz beef tenderloin or steak, cooked to medium-rare and thinly sliced
- 8 oz Roth Horseradish Havarti Cheese, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp prepared horseradish (optional, for extra kick)
- Kosher salt
- Cracked black pepper
Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and set aside.
- Season the beef tenderloin or steak with kosher salt and cracked black pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a bit of olive oil.
- Sear the beef for 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
- Place a slice of beef on the bread, followed by a slice of Roth Horseradish Havarti Cheese. If desired, add a small dollop of prepared horseradish for an extra kick.
- If the cheese needs to be slightly melted, place the assembled crostinis back in the oven for 2-3 minutes until the cheese just begins to soften.
